Project Goal: To create a master plan that would invite the homeowners to explore every part of their property while celebrating the history of this site.

Project Description: Situated in Rumford, Rhode Island, the home in this project is of historical significance and is comprised of two lots. The homeowners were looking for a way to integrate the underutilized lot into the entire design and to celebrate the history of the site. Emphasis was placed on creating destinations throughout the property as invitations for exploration. A variety of focal points throughout the yard create both a visual and a physical rhythm throughout the site.  Materials and design elements were selected to compliment the historic nature of the site.
