Gilded Hotel
Project Goal: To transform an outdated landscape into a welcoming retreat.
Project Description: Situated in the heart of Newport, Rhode Island's historic district, this boutique hotel was in desperate need of an updated landscape. Magma designed and built a new main entrance into the hotel using classic materials including salvaged granite, bluestone, and brick. An under-utilized courtyard space was turned into a welcoming gathering area for the hotel's guests while still providing a sense of privacy. A custom water feature is the focal point to this patio and plantings and planters provide seasonal interest.
